Growing up in northern Arkansas, Adam Bennett, DDS spent his summers as an instructor at sports clinics. He also worked summers as a counselor at Kanakuk sports camps in high school and college. These summer experiences helped shape his passion for making children smile and empowering them to make healthy choices.
Dr. Bennett attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. Here his hard work and good grades did not go unnoticed, and Dr. Bennett was granted early admission and a scholarship to the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. It was during dental school that Dr. Bennett’s instructors noticed his gift for working with kids, and he found himself enjoying the challenge and fun of the pediatric appointment.
After graduation, Dr. Bennett chose to pursue his passion for helping children by continuing his dental training and completing an advanced education in pediatric dentistry from New York University. During the program, Dr. Bennett served in a community health center where he worked exclusively with children. There he was able to help children from diverse backgrounds and gained valuable experience in preventative and restorative dentistry, as well as sedation and hospital dentistry.
When Dr. Bennett is not in the office, he enjoys physical activities like weightlifting, golf and tennis as well as outdoor activities like fishing and camping. Dr. Bennett is also a self-proclaimed “nerd” and you may catch him talking to your child about video games like Minecraft or Fortnite during their appointments. Dr. Bennett, his wife Katie, and their fur baby, Cache, are very excited to be a part of the Shreveport community and Pediatric Dentistry of Shreveport-Bossier team.
